See What Happens When We Put a Woman in Charge??
Last September, my company combined forces with another company who also facilitates FHA condominium project approvals. It may come as no surprise to any business owner that this company and my company were doing things differently but still accomplishing the same result.
Following discussions, we agreed that we would tackle the FHA project approvals combining both of our methods and it was my task to work with our processor, Addie, to develop an efficient system to process the submission files.
During the past week, seven our submissions have been approved with FHA and 2 of our last 3 approvals were approved on their initial submission. This has nothing to do with me nor the effectiveness of my methods for processing files. It has everything to do with Addie and her thoroughness of compiling the files for submission.
Speaking with a condominium property manager on Tuesday, he remarked to me how great Addie has been to work with. [I've been working with him for 2 years...he never said that about me!]
One of the approvals that came in this week was for a project that our referral partner, Sharri, manages. It was approved on the initial submission and nearly two weeks ahead of the expiration of its approval with FHA.
Upon notification of the project's approval, Sharri wrote to us "Holy Moly! That was fast!"
I responded "Yea, see what happens when we put a woman in charge? Things get done quickly!"
Sharri wrote "and don't EVER forget that!" She requested that we hold off on a recertification submission for a condominium whose FHA approval expires on April 5. She said "maybe we shouldn't submit it yet since your turnaround is so quick."
Addie has elevated our level of service and greatly decreased our turnraround time for processing and approvals. She is an invaluable member of our team and I can't imagine where we would be without her.
